    Rain and Konkan have an inseparable relationship in my mind. Since I am from Ratnagiri, rain has become an integral part of my life. I remember when I was little we used to go to the village every year for summer vacation, and it started raining in June. So what fun, both seasons used to meet in Konkan. Kokan Climate

  Konkan ( कोकण ) is a coastal strip occupies the entire west coast of Maharashtra. It is to the heart of this serene landscape. The land of Konkan is bounded by the Sahyadri Mountain range on the East and the Arabian Sea on the West. The region consists of costal districts such as Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Thane. Generally the climate of Kokan region is hot and damp. The region witness all climatic seasonal changes i.e. monsoon, winter and summer. Monsoon, from June to September, generally Konkan received rainfall between 300 mm up to 900 mm. Rice Farming In Konkan

  Preface : About 65% of the people in our country have rice in their daily diet. Rice supplies most of the nutrients to the human body. Also, compared to other crops, paddy has many uses for livestock and industry. Therefore, rice is known as a multi-purpose cereal crop.     The king of fruits is mango and the king of mangoes is hapus ! What is the price of hapus in any market today? This question is often asked. Then comes the number of other mangoes.
